HERBED TURKEY IN A BAG
10 pound turkey
2 tablespoons parsley flakes
1 tablespoon sage
1 teaspoon marjoram
1 teaspoon thyme
1 teaspoon savory
½ teaspoon rosemary
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
Remove giblets and neck from turkey, reserve for other uses. Rinse turkey with cold water, pat dry. Tie ends of turkey legs to tail with cord or tuck legs under flap of skin. Lift wingtips up and over back, and tuck under turkey.
Combine all the herbs in an electric blender, process 1 minute. Sprinkle cavity and outside of turkey with herb mixture.
Shake flour in a large oven cooking bag, and place in a large roasting pan at least 2” deep. Place turkey in cooking bag, adjusting wingtips. Close bag and seal. Cook 30 minutes or until meat thermometer reaches 185 degrees.
