CRUNCHY OATMEAL COOKIES

Mix sugar and shortening, then eggs. Sift together flour salt and baking soda. Add to first mixture. Add oatmeal, vanilla and nuts. Drop by teaspoons onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 300 degrees about 10 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from cookie sheet immediately. Makes 10 or 11 dozen. Full Article

CHOCOLATE OATMEAL COOKIES

Boil sugar, cocoa, butter and milk for about 1½ minutes. Add peanut butter, oats and flavoring. Full Article

PRALINE COOKIES

Bring first 4 ingredients to a boil; remove and add vanilla and peanut butter; when melted add oatmeal. Mix well and drop by spoons onto wax paper. Let stand until firm like fudge. Full Article

CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES

Cream (mix) together shortening, brown sugar and sugar together. Add the eggs and vanilla extract. Add the baking soda to 1 teaspoon water; blend with the flour and chocolate chips together in a mixer. Bake on ungreased cookie sheets. Full Article

POTATO CHIP COOKIES

Cream (mix) butter and sugar. Add egg yolk and remaining ingredients. Drop by teaspoon on greased cookie sheet. Bake 10-12 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool slightly before removing from pan and sprinkle with powdered sugar. Full Article

NO-BAKE PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES

Bring syrup and sugar to a boil. Remove from heat. Stir in peanut butter. Add cereal. Drop by spoonful onto metal tray or waxed paper and let stand for 30 minutes. Full Article

MELT AWAYS

Cream (mix) butter then add cornstarch, flour and powdered sugar. Beat well. Form balls with 1 teaspoon batter and cook for approximately 12 minutes in oven at 350 degrees. Full Article
